Ten years ago was my first day as Vivian Dash

Vivian Dash is celebrating 10 years as a camgirl, reflecting on her journey from accountancy to entrepreneurship with a camera and toys.

I remember waking up with butterflies in my stomach, it was a holiday so I didn't need to go to my office job and would have time to dedicate to my new adventure!
Wearing my best lingerie, I logged on Skype with a wet pussy and some dreams.

A part of me was afraid nobody would want to talk to me and that my naughty endeavor would be a failure.
Another part of me was very excited to meet new people!

Thankfully, I didn't need to wait much until the first message came in. And then another, and another. Although I only had a small buttplug and a phone, my first day was busy and it made me hopeful.
At the time, all I wanted was to make some extra cash for a trip.

I used to work in accountancy - not the most thrilling type of job, and honestly, I never had much of a passion for it either.
I never knew what I wanted to do with my life, so as many people do, I just followed the steps of my dad.

But on my first day as Vivian, something I wasn't expecting happened: I had SO much fun that it was hard to go back to my 9 to 5!
The next morning, sitting in a meeting about quarterly projections felt like torture, I remembered the dirty talk from the night before and had to hide my smile.

For two years, I juggled a corporate day job with being a camgirl at night.
And on the weekends. In the morning. In my lunch time. Any minute I could spare, that was all I could think of.

In three months I was making more on cam than on my other job.
It could be just beginners luck, but I saw potential so I decided to invest for real.
I quit the post grad in finances and studied entrepreneurship instead. And Marketing, and Photography.
I bought a desktop, a great camera, and professional lights.

My nights were so exciting that I often fell asleep with the phone in my hand and a buttplug in my ass.
I thought I could have it all until a tragedy happened: my best friend - who was also a coworker - died unexpectedly.
That friend who kept an "emergency" chocolate in the drawer for when I needed a dessert.

Now going to work everyday was even more painful. My friend was the only thing that kept me sane in an environment that didn't make sense for me anymore.
Every moment I spent in that cold office felt like wasting my life away.
It made me realize how short life is and that I should stop making excuses and pursue my dreams.

At that point, I was making 3x my salary with cam and custom content so quitting was a no brainer.
I walked out of that cold office for the last time a week later, carried my bags to the beach - now filled with all sorts of toys - and turned on my camera that same night!

Ten years have passed and I still have butterflies when I log on!
I'm grateful for the amazing moments with the friends I made: clients, sex workers, all of you, my people!
Thank YOU for being part of my journey.

For ten more wonderful years of butterflies 🥂
